Step 1

THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS

  • Loan enquiry is received via phone or email.   
  • Within 2 hours the Credit Manager assesses the merits of the loan primarily by focusing on the strength of the borrower’s balance sheet and the suitability of the security on offer. The exit strategy will also be of utmost importance. 
  • If the request is deemed suitable a letter of offer outlining the terms and conditions is issued.

Step 2

THE APPROVAL PROCESS

  • Upon receiving the signed letter of offer Acquire Capital Solutions preference is to meet  face to face with the borrower. The introducing broker is welcome.
  • All security properties are inspected and valued by a representative of Acquire Capital Solutions.
  • The remaining outstanding conditions are met by the borrower.
  • Once unconditional the loan documents can then be ordered.

Step 3

THE LOAN DOCUMENTATION PROCESS

  • Acquire Capital Solutions issues the loan agreement and supporting legal documents. This process of issuing documents is relatively quick and can generally be turned around in 24 hours.
  • Loan documents are emailed direct to the borrower’s lawyer. The lawyer will provide an independent legal advice certification, meet any further outstanding conditions and return direct to Acquire Capital Solutions.
  • Upon receipt of the loan documents Acquire Capital Solutions lawyer certifies the loan documents and prepares for settlement.

Step 4

THE LOAN SETTLEMENT PROCESS

  • Settlement is booked for either a purchase or advance.
  • Acquire Capitals legal team complete a final certification.
  • Settlement is attended and or funds advanced.
  • For settlements other than property purchases Acquire use the RTGS method which enables funds to be available immediately.
  • A statement is then issued confirming drawdown of funds and confirmation of interest due

Is Acquire Capital Solutions a Broker or a Lender

Acquire Capital are Lenders not brokers. Settlement funds are in our bank account and lending decisions are made in house.

How long does it take to get an answer?

Acquire Capital provide responses to loan enquiries within a matter of hours. Most loan offer letters are issued same day.

I’m a broker, when do I get paid my commission?

Commissions are generally paid by the borrower at settlement of the loan.

What is the lending process?

Provide a brief synopsis of the loan to Acquire by way of either phone or email. Response within hours followed by an offer letter same day. Acquire meet with the borrower and work together towards meeting all conditions. Loan documents are issued in house via email and once executed settlement can be completed. Average time frame for this process is 5 business days.

Does Acquire Capital Solutions do consumer lending?

No.  We are not licenced for consumer lending.

Why do you need to meet every borrower?

This is a necessary part of the process to correctly identify the borrower and gain a better understanding of their needs.

How long does it take to settlement?

All loan scenarios are different. We have settled as quickly as 24 hours however generally 5 business days is achievable.

Do we need a valuation?

In most cases, an internal appraisal is performed by Acquire Capital Solutions. As part of our valuation, we generally inspect every security.

Will I retain control over managing the borrower?

Although Acquire deal directly with the borrower, introducers are more than welcome to attend meetings and have as much or as little involvement as required.

Does Acquire Capital have an accreditation process?

Not formally however all applications submitted by introducers should be deemed not unsuitable.

What is your maximum term?

Our product is suitable for loans that have a clear exit strategy and can be repaid within 12 months.

Can interest be capitalised?

If the security property has sufficient equity interest can be capitalised to the loan. Prepaid and interest paid in arrears are also options.

Does Acquire Capital share details of existing borrowers and or brokers for reference and confirmation of their ability?

Yes. Acquire Capital prides itself on its reputation in the short term lending market. References from current or past borrowers along with loan introducers are available.
